Registration and Participant Center FAQs
How do I register?
Did you participate last year? Have you ever registered for any of our other events? Do you receive our e-newsletter, Connections? If you answered YES to any of the questions above, then you have a username and password for our website! We recommend logging into your Participant Center before you register to make the process easy for you! The system will remember you and all of your past information, including edits to your personal pages.
If you have not participated in the past, visit the home page and click the "register" button. You can also download a registration paper to print and mail into our office along with a check for registration fees. Download an adult or youth registration form here.
If you are unable to attend the event, you may also be involved in the Ride. Run. Roll to Defeat ALS as a virtual participant.
What are the costs involved, and what do they provide?
To participate in the Ride. Run. Roll to Defeat ALS Event, each person must pay a registration fee. for the event you wish to participate in. Those participating in a RIDE events must commit to raise the fundraising minimum of $250. There are different costs for adults and children, and guests are welcome to join us for the post-ride celebration - the more, the merrier!
Reaching the fundraising minimum needs to be done by the day of the event. Let chapter staff help you with your fundraising efforts - there are so many tools available to make raising the minimum easy and fun! Contact us today!
Please note: All RIDE participants, ages 10 and older, must meet the fundraising minimum by the day of the event.
I am a person with ALS. In what ways can I participate?
There are many ways you can participate if you are living with ALS! Registration fees are waived for persons living with ALS and one caregiver (use the codes below during registration). If you're interested in helping to fundraise, start a team or participate as an individual! If you're unable to ride, run or roll, you're welcome to spend the day just cheering everyone on and celebrating with those who are coming out to support the ALS community!

What is a Personal Page?
Your Personal Page is an online promotional tool to use when asking your friends and family to join your team or make a donation. Once you're registered, a personal page is automatically created for you. You can customize this page with photos and your personal story by logging into your Participant Center. Our staff is here to help you every step of the way.
Do I have to change my Personal Page?
You don't have to, but we know from experience that the participant’s personal touch makes the page more compelling to people who are looking to donate to a cause. Be creative and have fun with it. Please know we are here to help you do this.
How do I change my personal fundraising goal?
Login to your Participant Center. At the top of that page, you'll see your current goal and a link to change it directly below it. Or you can contact us and we can do it for you.
How do I customize the web address for my Personal Page?
Login to your Participant Center. Click Personal Page from the options along the top of the page. In the Personal Page URL and Settings area, click Edit. Click into the field and type the text you want to use (such as your name or nickname). You may only use letters and numbers as well as the period (.), dash (-), and underscore (_) characters from your keyboard. To avoid problems, do not leave any spaces between your entries. Don't forget to click "Save"! Just give us a call if we can do this for you.
How can I see who has donated on my behalf?
Login to your Participant Center. Click the Progress tab at the top of the page, then scroll down to view your donor list. You can also download a list of your supporters from this page.
How can I see who is on my team?
Login to your Participant Center, then click on View Team Roster from the navigation on the right side of the page.
When will I get a copy of the route?
Because of roadwork and other unforeseen forces, the route is finalized just a few weeks out from the tour. You may view the route map and cue sheets on the Routes and Directions page at a later date. Cue sheets will be available at the Registration Table the day of the event.

Check-in and Start times:
Registration: Opens at 6:30am
Metric Century Ride start: 8:30am

Are non-participating family and friends allowed to join me for lunch? Absolutely! We love to see families and friends come out to enjoy the activities of the day and cheer on all of the participants! If they are interested in staying for lunch, Guest lunch passes can be purchased for $20 in advance but will not be available for day-of purchase. A lunch of grilled chicken, pasta, and salad will be served beginning at 11:00 am. Lunch and one beer or iced tea is included in your entry fee as a Rider. Any additional beer or soft drinks will be available for purchase.
Are dogs allowed at the Ride?
Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted on the routes or the Ride site for safety reasons.
Can I bring a stroller on the 5K and 1 Mile Ride, Run, Roll routes?
Yes! Strollers are welcome on the 5K Run, Walk, Roll route only.
I'm participating in the Ride and live out of the state. Is there a place I can rent a bike from? Certainly! We are proud to partner with Dunedin Cyclery again this year as our official rental bike shop. You can give them a call at (727) 466-1245 and tell them you are participating in this year’s Ride to Defeat ALS. They will set up delivery and pick up for your rental bikes.
Are there additional charges to have a team?
No, but each member of the team is responsible for paying their individual registration fee and raising the fundraising minimum associated with their event by collecting pledges from friends and family.
How many members must I have to form a team?
A team can be two people, twenty people, or more. This includes virtual participants as well.
As a team captain or member of a team, can I raise all the money and then distribute it to other members of my team?
We strongly discourage this. We believe the Ride. Run. Roll to Defeat ALS is a transformative event. For many people, participating is a challenge. Whether it’s the physical challenge or the effort it takes to reach a fundraising goal, both components are part of the Ride to Defeat ALS experience. Having every participant raise funds makes charity events special. Everyone participating will have something in common - they provided hope to people living with ALS.
Team Captain FAQs
Please note, the features discussed below are only available to team captains.
How do I change the team name, team division, or team goal?
If you are the team captain, login to your Participant Center, select Team Page from the options along the top of the page. Under the Team Name (located in the area along the right side of your page), select Edit, then select Update. The Edit fields close as the confirmation message for your changes displays.
How do I change my team's goal?
Login to your Participant Center and select the Progress tab at the top of the page. Once there, select Team on the right side of the page. On the Team Progress page, team captains have the ability to update the team name, division and goal. Note that only the team captain has the ability to make these changes.
How do I broadcast a message to my entire team?
Login to your Participant Center, then select Edit in the Message from Your Team Captain area (located on the right navigation area). When the content entry area clears, enter your encouraging message. Then select Save. This will show up in your team members’ Participant Centers when they log in!
How do I sign up to volunteer?
Register here to become a volunteer. Select "register as an individual." You will register and fill out information so we know your skills and the desired time you wish to volunteer for the event.
Do I have to raise funds to volunteer? No. There is no fundraising minimum to volunteer, but those wishing to fundraise get a personal page online to help them reach their fundraising goals.
My friends are participating and I plan to volunteer and raise funds. Can I join their team?
Yes! Just contact us and we'll assign you to their team.
