As you all know, my story is like so many others who have had loved ones given a diagnosis of ALS.  Irwin fought this battle for 6 years.  He dealt with the many challenges of this disease like he did with other obstacles in his life.  Irwin had such strength, courage and a positive attitude that not only inspired me, but all who loved and cared for him.  Changes and complications with ALS can happen in the blink of an eye, so our” Mantra “of living one Day at a time was so important!

I’ve joined the Walk to Defeat ALS to raise awareness, show families we support them, and to raise money for research and family support services until we find a cure.

The money we raise funds vital programs for ALS families, including:

Medical equipment loans & referral services, Support groups, Education and Research towards slowing the progression of ALS and finding a cure.
