Thank you for helping me raise money for The ALS Association’s Walk to Defeat ALS. This disease became personal to me in 2013 when my Uncle Larry was diagnosed with ALS.  I didn’t know exactly what it was then, and my hope is that one day no one will know exactly what it is, because there will be a cure. This is why I walk. 

The average life expectancy of an ALS patient is 2 to 5 years.  My beloved uncle lost his battle in June 2014.  My team walks, and this year will ride in the Parade of Hope, in my uncle’s memory and for those who are battling this horrible disease. I miss my uncle dearly; however, it is an awesome feeling being amongst so many supporters helping to raise awareness and money for ALS.

I appreciate your help in making a difference. Through local programs such as support groups and loaned medical equipment, fundraising dollars are making an immediate impact on the lives of those with ALS. It’s all about the people, the research, the care, and the cure.  Any amount you feel comfortable giving is deeply appreciated.
